(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić attended an institutional meeting in the Piedmont region of Italy dedicated to improving economic, industrial and trade relations between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the invitation of the Italian company Hitherm and BiH nationals who have lived and worked in Italy for many years.
The meeting was organised with the aim of gathering representatives of institutions, businesspeople and other relevant stakeholders, with a view to strengthening dialogue and creating new opportunities for economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries. During the talks, potentials for enhancing bilateral trade exchange, attracting investments, developing industrial cooperation and implementing joint projects of mutual interest were also discussed.
In his address, BiH Presidency member Komšić emphasised the importance of further developing economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy, stressing that Italy is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed to the need to intensify cooperation between institutions and business entities of the two countries, particularly in the fields of industry, technology, investment and sustainable development.
Speaking about concrete examples of successful cooperation, BiH Presidency member Komšić recalled the partnership between the Piedmont region and the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which has been confirmed over the years through four cooperation agreements.
