Komšić: Some things from February 7th are strange

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency and leader of the Democratic Front Željko Komšić, said in a statement to the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that, as a human being, he is outraged by everything that happened on February 7th in Sarajevo, but, he noted, "protests are a democratic right of people to seek change, whether someone likes it or not".

- I saw enough burning during the war, so it was all very difficult for me to watch – Komšić told NAP.

- But whether someone likes it or not, protests are a legitimate right of citizens to seek change. Of course, everything should be within the framework of the law and institutions – Komšić added.

When asked by NAP journalists if the security system in BiH failed on February 7th, he said that he could not speak about it because that segment is not within his jurisdiction, and that the police bodies should provide a report on it.

- It is true that some things regarding that date are strange – said Komšić, reminding that a crisis headquarters was formed during last year's protests for JMB, but not during the demonstrations in Sarajevo on February 7th, when the BiH Presidency building, the KS Government, and the Centar Municipality burned.
