Komšić after meeting with Pierce: UK remains a strong partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina received today in Sarajevo the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Western Balkans, Karen Pierce.

"I am pleased that Karen Pierce, with her exceptional and long-standing diplomatic career, is the new Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans. She is very well acquainted with developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

With clear messages about the sovereignty and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she believes that the countries of the Western Balkans should become part of the EU as soon as possible, given that the Ukrainian crisis has changed the previous philosophy and dynamics on the European continent.

She expressed the full support of the United Kingdom for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the key reforms ahead of us on our Euro-Atlantic path.
