
(Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić discussed the Southern Gas Interconnection with the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in BiH John Ginkel.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy, Ginkel, informed Komšić about the talks he had regarding the possibility of investments from the United States in this project.
Komšić emphasized that this is an important project for diversifying energy sources, which is an obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans and part of the EU's energy strategy, in which our country should also participate.
He also pointed out that investments from the United States are welcome, and that such synergy can yield good results.
The interlocutors agreed that this project can open numerous opportunities for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future in the field of energy supply.
