Komšić and Erdogan: Institutions must do their job, my question was who and what should be discussed in dialogue!

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić attended a working breakfast today hosted by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Also attending the breakfast were the Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović and Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović.

Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić stated after the breakfast, which lasted more than an hour, that the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed their opinions in a much better tone than in Sarajevo.

"Of course, the position of the Republic of Turkey has never been in question when it comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina. First and foremost, regarding the protection of the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is not discussed in the Republic of Turkey or with Turkish officials.

This is an indisputable matter and will remain so in the future. The question of how to get out of this situation, what to do, was also raised. Mr. Bećirović and I are of the opinion that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina must do their job, although Ms. Cvijanović emphasized the need to open some kind of dialogue, without specifying with whom or about what. My question was who and what should be discussed in dialogue? Who is the one who should talk to Dodik in this situation?

First of all, decisions of judicial bodies cannot be discussed, that is not in question. One can only talk about Dodik revoking the laws passed by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and what the judiciary will ultimately do is up to the bodies of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, certainly not up to politicians," said Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić.
