Democratic Front President Željko Komšić said, as a guest on Senad Hadžifejzović's CD on Friday evening on Face TV, that there were too many players who wanted the government in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the government at the state level, not to be formed at all.
Komšić did not want to name the politicians who blocked the formation of the government, although he briefly hinted that the obstructors even came from the coalition trio that formed the government in the FBiH and BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.
He said that a big question mark still stands over whether Dragan Čović, the leader of HDZ BiH, is interested in BiH having a government at the state level.
Komšić also revealed that he personally dislikes some things about the formation of the government in BiH and the Federation, but he still agreed to the government being formed according to the principle by which it was formed a few days ago, because it was difficult to form it any other way.
- HDZ BiH is an unavoidable factor in the story about forming the government, due to the way the country functions and how it is organized. In my opinion, SDA is also an unavoidable factor in forming the government purely because of the number of votes they have. We (DF) are not an unavoidable factor in forming the government, but due to the known relations prevailing in Sarajevo, the animosity that exists, primarily between Izetbegović and Radončić, it is impossible to expect the government to be formed on that axis – said Komšić.
