Commemoration for Abdulah Sidran at the National Theatre Sarajevo

(Patria) - The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced details regarding the commemoration for academician Abdulah Sidran.

Sidran passed away on March 23, 2024, in Sarajevo. He was a prominent Bosnian writer, poet, and screenwriter, and a full member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A joint commemorative session of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the P.E.N. Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Writers' Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals Council will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the National Theatre Sarajevo at 12:00 PM.

The funeral prayer will be held on the same day at 3:40 PM in the courtyard of the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, after which burial will take place in the courtyard of the Ferhadija Mosque.

The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina extends its sincerest and deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and all admirers of the work of academician Abdulah Sidran.
