Kolašinac at the final rally: I am proud of the SDA list in Novi Grad

(Patria) - The central pre-election rally of the Municipal Board of SDA Novi Grad Sarajevo was held on October 2 in the sports hall "Srce" in Buća Potok. Special guest was the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo, a general of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the leadership of the Municipal Board of SDA Novi Grad, the Cantonal Board of SDA Sarajevo, candidates, supporters, and guests were also present.

The candidates for the Municipal Council of Novi Grad were once again presented, and the list bearer, Golden Lily recipient Kenan Kolašinac, addressed those present.

"When our homeland was attacked in 1992, I was only 18 years old. When I think about that time, the people, and the events today, I can freely say that I then, guided by my heart, rushed into the combat ranks of the defenders and into battle clashes with some inexplicable joy, more easily and boldly than many decide to step into cold water on some beaches. This is a story that applies to all my comrades, young, brave, and courageous people in Sarajevo and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, who without calculation stood guard over their homeland, their faith, their identity, our freedom, dignity, and pride," said Kolašinac.

He noted that Novi Grad mobilized 24,000 members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that unfortunately 1,945 members from Novi Grad alone lost their lives.

"I have always been given something to carry in life. And whatever I carried, I was proud of it. In the war, I became a bearer of a rifle, a machine gun, and other weapons. Since I carried all that well and heroically, I also became the bearer of the highest war award, the 'Golden Lily.' Today, in a deceptive peace, when our city, our municipality, and this beautiful country of ours need to be fought for in councils and parliaments, I have again become a bearer. Today, I am proud of the list of SDA candidates. Let us turn out en masse for the elections, determined to teach a lesson to those from the troika and to stop them in further steps of betrayal," Kolašinac urged.
