Which eight Presidency members of SDA are against Izetbegović

At yesterday's session of the SDA Presidency, out of 28 members, 17 voted "for" Denis Bećirović, who was a candidate for the mandate for the new BiH Council of Ministers, eight abstained, and three did not attend the session, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The second candidate for mandate was Adil Osmanović and, as explained by a source from the top leadership of SDA, he would have certainly passed if the vote had been secret.

Those who were for Osmanović until the very act of voting, when the Deputy President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, said that his candidate was Bećirović, changed their minds because they expect some positions in the executive government.

Nevertheless, eight members abstained, not hiding their disagreement with Izetbegović's choice, namely Adil Osmanović, Sadik Ahmetović, Ramiz Salkić, Salko Sokolović, Zijad Hadžiomerović, Nermin Mandra, Josip Jurišić, and Sejad Delić.

Salmir Kaplan, who declared during the discussions that he would vote for Osmanović, left the session after arguing with Zijad Hadžiomerović.

Mirsad Kukić did not attend the session, and as we learn, for unknown reasons, so did Hikmet Hodžić from Livno, who was in the FBiH Government building during the day yesterday, but did not appear at the SDA Headquarters afterwards.

When looking at the territorial origin of the Presidency members who abstained, it is clear that the Herzegovinian SDA, the current from Republika Srpska, and one part of the Sarajevo current are not Izetbegović's people.

As there are still five months until the regular SDA Congress, which is held in May, it is clear that a turbulent period is ahead, and that the cracks within the party, i.e., the division into FOR and AGAINST Bakir Izetbegović, are more than visible.

It is expected that they will become even greater, especially considering that a major replacement of Denis Bećirović from the position of president is being prepared in the Cantonal Board Sarajevo, thus weakening Izetbegović's current in the strongest party organization in the country.
