What are the reasons for the increasing exodus of people from Sanski Most

People are not only leaving Syria and war-torn areas. A total of 2,300 families have emigrated from Sanski Most in recent years, announced the Union for Sustainable Return and Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the news agency Patria.

The mayor of the municipality, Mustafa Avdagić, also works as a surgeon, because he says there is a lack of staff. He is not aware that hundreds of families are leaving the city he governs. He presented data he believes in, according to which Sanski Most has growth in employment and a GDP of 4,338 KM.

Incidentally, after studying abroad, most young people from Sanski Most do not return to the country; they stay in other countries in search of a better life. Building a life in Sanski Most starts with jobs, infrastructure, healthcare, and freedom of speech.

This freedom of speech, according to a part of the public, is threatened under pressure from local authorities. At the beginning of the year, TV 101 was sealed. Employees and owners claim the reason for this was political.

That television station now broadcasts from another entity, from Prijedor. The mayor does not want to paint over the egg stains on the municipal building, nor does he want to comment on accusations that the local authorities drove the only TV station to a neighboring city and entity.

Before the war, the municipality of Sanski Most had 60,300 inhabitants, and today just over 47,000. The inter-entity boundary line, as well as economic migrations, have resulted in a deficit of more than 10,000 people, whom all the beauties of the Sana River could not keep in the city, reports N1.
