Which businessmen and athlete from Serbia have secret accounts in Switzerland

Among the 59 businessmen connected to Serbia who are on the list of account holders at the Swiss branch of HSBC bank are Vuk Hamović and Zoran Drakulić, as well as football legend Dragan Stojković Piksi, writes the latest edition of News Week Serbia, reports the Patria news agency.

In addition to the names of well-known businessmen, athletes and foreigners doing business in Serbia and the region, there are also directors of lesser-known companies.

Some account holders are completely unknown to the public, but among them there are also family members of some businessmen and politicians.

There is also a Serbian businessman who transferred 20 million euros from his account, thus raising a red flag for the bank's authorities.

News Week journalists had access to the entire database, which contains over 60,000 documents testifying to the activities of 100,000 bank clients.

Individuals and companies from Serbia opened 93 accounts between 1988 and 2006, holding a total of 41.2 million euros, according to the report published in early February by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

The list includes a number of current and former politicians from Great Britain, Russia, India and numerous African countries, members of royal families from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and Morocco, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina...
