120 kg of tobacco and 3,000 packs of cigarettes seized near Tarčin

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In an operation by members of the Indirect Taxation Authority acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, a larger quantity of tobacco and cigarettes was seized during a vehicle search near Tarčin, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced. 

"The seized tobacco and cigarettes without appropriate excise stamps will be confiscated, and a report on the committed criminal offense will be filed against the perpetrators. During the search, approximately 120 kg of tobacco and about 3,000 packs of cigarettes were found and confiscated, which were traded without appropriate excise stamps. The market value of the confiscated tobacco and cigarettes is several tens of thousands of BAM, and the amount of evaded excise duties and levies for which the BiH budget has been damaged will be determined. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH continues to work on the case.
