Five wagons of a freight train carrying sugar overturned near Mostar

(Patria) - Five wagons of a freight train derailed and overturned during the night in the Mostar settlement of Opine.

As a photojournalist for Hercegovina.info checked at the scene, five freight wagons loaded with sugar derailed from the train composition moving from the direction of Čapljina to the Mostar railway station.

The cargo from the wagons scattered around, and the protective fence of a car wash was also damaged.

There were no injuries. The scene of this accident was secured by officers of the Mostar Police Administration. Also, officers of the Mostar Police Administration conducted an investigation under the order of the duty prosecutor.

Due to this accident, all railway traffic (passenger and freight) between Mostar and Čapljina has been suspended until further notice.
