SDP Sarajevo condemns hate speech of representative Samra Ćosović-Hajdarević

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Cantonal Organization of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sarajevo strongly condemns the behavior and hate speech of representative Samra Ćosović-Hajdarević towards citizens of Serbian and Croatian nationality in Sarajevo Canton.

"We believe that the Ethics Commission and the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton should react to such behavior of the representative because, unfortunately, this is just another in a series of her nationalist outbursts recently. Representative Ćosović-Hajdarević uses similar hate speech to which Bosniak returnees in the RS are exposed daily, often accompanied by physical violence. The representative, sharpened by hatred and nationalism, apparently does not know how many citizens of Serbian and Croatian nationality and others have equally worked on the development of our city, and how many of them participated in the defense of our capital and state, both in the period 1941-1945 and in the period 1992-1995.

We expect an apology from representative Ćosović-Hajdarević, if nothing else, at least for the sake of her colleague from the representative bench, also a member of SDA, Smiljana Viteškić", the statement said.

The Cantonal Organization of SDP BiH Sarajevo expects SDA to publicly condemn and sanction its member.

"SDP BiH Sarajevo will always advocate for Sarajevo for all of us without any kind of divisions, especially not those advocated by SDA through its elected officials."
