SDP BiH Sarajevo Canton calls for resignation of Nenadić and KS Government

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Damir Mašić, president of the SDP BiH Sarajevo Cantonal Board, stated at today's press conference that in the past month the Government of SDA, DF, SBB, and BOSS has not only failed to take any measures but has completely disappeared.

"Today we are witnessing a complete collapse of the system. Just as the previous government was praised as the best so far, now people are saying this is the worst government ever. We don't need people who are afraid of their own shadow, we don't need people who are afraid of Sebija Izetbegović, who has almost destroyed healthcare with the return of SDA. For a month, they told us there were protocols for patient care, and now they say they are changing because they were inadequate. Several citizens have lost their lives due to such protocols. Ask the esteemed manager how many COVID-19 patients are currently admitted. Instead of dealing with problems, they are appointing their own people to director positions. This government will not last until summer; we are working with partners on that. The SDP demands that Prime Minister Nenadić and the Government resign, not only to save the citizens but themselves," said Mašić.

Igor Stojanović, head of the SDP BiH club in the KS Assembly, called on Fahrudin Radončić, president of SBB, to, just as he hastily called for the dismissal of the Health Center director, also call for the resignation of his Prime Minister, Mario Nenadić.

"I call for the dismissal of Mr. Nenadić in order to stop the political showdowns with the workers. Also, due to the political showdowns with people within companies. In 15 companies since the state of emergency was introduced, management structures have been replaced. That wouldn't be a problem if some measures were taken, but the only thing happening is the replacement of cadres and the appointment of the suitable ones, in order to preserve these 18 unproductive hands," said Stojanović.

He stated that all responsibility regarding the coronavirus in KS has been placed on Dr. Aida Pilav.

Prim. dr. Dragan Stevanović, a delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, said that there is no mechanism to stop the crisis.

"My proposals and suggestions, which were communicated through the media, not through the system, because the system is not working. They went in two directions, the first is crisis management. The crisis should be managed by the civil protection staff and the services that support it. Unfortunately, you have crisis staffs, a partially engaged civil protection staff. We thank Dr. Pilav, who has taken on both roles and is coping as best she can. The FBiH Minister of Health has enormous powers to reallocate staff, deviate from valid rules, change working hours, engage private laboratories, but this requires courage," said Stevanović.

Samir Suljević, an SDP BiH delegate in the KS Assembly, said that the security situation in KS is not good.

"Who is managing this crisis at the moment? It's the Civil Protection Staff, which is essentially an informal group of citizens that only implements decisions from the federal level. Let them implement, but where are the cantonal decisions? The Civil Protection Staff has been reduced to just distributing aid packages. We know that the Government has hidden behind the Civil Protection Staff. The pandemic may end in ten days, but the consequences of the crisis will be felt for a long time. We ask that the KS Government, with Prime Minister Nenadić at its head, resign. They have hidden in their holes, and therefore, resignations, and only resignations," said Suljević.
