Who is progressing the most, and where are the changes the least: RCC in Sarajevo presents "Balkan Barometer"

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) will present the 5th edition of the public and business opinion survey "Balkan Barometer" for 2019 at the annual meeting of this organization, which will be held on July 8, 2019, in Sarajevo.

The first presentation of the Balkan Barometer for 2019 was held at the Western Balkans Summit in Poznan three days ago, when the main findings of this research were presented, while in Sarajevo a more detailed insight into the research data for each Western Balkan economy, namely Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, and Serbia, will be provided.

Who in the region most supports membership in the European Union? Which economy has recorded an increase in the number of respondents who showed optimism? Who in the region has the most optimistic forecasts for the future? Where are there the fewest changes? These are the questions that will be discussed during the presentation of the Balkan Barometer in Sarajevo, the RCC announced.

The annual meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council for 2019 will be held as part of a series of high-level meetings organized at the end of Bosnia and Herzegovina's chairmanship of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

The meeting will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnadak, on behalf of the chairmanship of the Southeast European Cooperation Process, and the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, Majlinda Bregu.

Secretary General Bregu will present the findings of the Balkan Barometer for 2019 to the meeting participants, followed by the presentation of the Regional Cooperation Council's annual report for the period 2018-2019 and the organization's strategy and work program for the period 2020-2022, which are expected to be confirmed at the annual meeting of the Council and adopted at the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Southeast European Cooperation Process.
