Who is Monika Mijić's mysterious travel companion on the Strasbourg journey against justice - Bunoza issued a written confirmation that she was alone!

In a country where truth is often a matter of interpretation, and paper carries more weight than words, a woman set off for Strasbourg, on behalf of a part of the state apparatus, but not its citizens.

Her name is Monika Mijić, a fake agent of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the European Court of Human Rights, who emerged as a quiet but powerful figure in the story of rights, justice, and political bargaining.

Her name in the Kovačević judgment carries the weight of a decision that shattered the hopes of one citizen who applied, and all those who were awaiting his victory, to choose and be chosen. The judgment caused an earthquake, but what followed revealed even deeper cracks.

Monika traveled to Strasbourg alone, according to the BiH Ministry of Justice. Or rather, as confirmed by Minister Davor Bunoza (HDZ). He claims on the Ministry of Justice's letterhead that Monika Mijić slept alone!

Or did she not?

The BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees refused to sign the travel order for her assistant. She therefore traveled without a supporting official who was supposed to provide her with professional support. And then, after her return, the bills arrived. Tourist taxes – not for four, but for eight people. Breakfast – not one, but two. Booking reservation – not for one, but for two people.

The audit raises a red flag. An avalanche of questions begins. Who did Monika take with her? Why did she sleep in a double room? Was she traveling as a state agent, or as a private individual with diplomatic cover?

Minister of Justice Davor Bunoza tries to extinguish the fire, issuing a confirmation that Monika "was alone in the room." The Ministry of Justice's stamp makes it official!? But the Minister of Human Rights Sevlid Hurtić does not agree.

"Look at the invoices," Hurtić says at a session of the Internal Policy Committee, where a debate on this topic recently took place.

"They don't match the statement. Before you sign the memorandum, look at what the hotel says," Hurtić told Bunoza.

Chaos ensued at the session of the Internal Policy Committee. Minister of Defense Zukan Helez admits that he "understands nothing." The Minister of Justice tries to explain: "I didn't analyze the documents, I just confirmed what I was told."

He also says it's regrettable that Monika is being singled out, while prosecutors go to Strasbourg at state expense without any issues. But the facts remain – too many taxes, too many breakfasts, too many questions. And the money of BiH citizens, whose human rights are being denied, is being spent. And all of this was determined by the audit!

And while Monika Mijić gives interviews celebrating a "legal victory," the question remains who traveled with Monika Mijić, and helped impose an embargo on human rights in BiH.

But what we know for sure is who will pay for it – the citizens. Again. Quietly, as they are used to.

Because in this country, the invoice is always correct, but never innocent.
