KCUS clinic in isolation, what would have happened now if you had closed the General Hospital?

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The KCUS Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology is going into isolation because one doctor has been infected with coronavirus, confirmed the director of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, Sebija Izetbegović, to Klix. According to her, the doctor had been coming to work for several days with cold symptoms.

"She did not report possible risky contacts, nor did she get tested. She only did that after she went on sick leave," said Izetbegović.

It is precisely in this tragic situation that lessons should be learned, especially considering the earlier fantasies about how the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" should be closed and the Government of FBiH should move into the building. Fortunately, such intentions did not materialize.

Emergency patients will now be referred to the General Hospital 'Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš'.

Dr. Dragan Stevanović also gave his observation.

"An entire clinic is out of function (in isolation). Of course, it can happen to anyone. All patients are being referred to the General Hospital, and that's okay. Imagine the same hospital that the same people who are still bosses today wanted to turn into a government building. We told them then and they didn't hear us, they tried in every way to silence us and move us.

Without the people, the hospital would be lost forever," said Dr. Stevanović.

We remind you that in 2016, the citizens of Sarajevo gathered for days in front of the General Hospital "Prim dr. Abdulah Nakaš" to protest against the closure of this hospital and its relocation to the University Clinical Center in Koševo.
