(Patria) - For 68 years, in Sarajevo's Malta neighborhood, our most famous and best-selling Klas semi-white bread has been produced. At that location, the Velepekara was built, which since 1952 has been serving
Sarajevo and its surroundings, continuously delivering fresh and quality bread to its citizens. Today, the Velepekara, a veritable symbol of the city, is equipped with the most modern technology for
the production of bakery products and has a fully automated production process with a capacity of 20,000 loaves and pastries per hour.
“Klas Velepekara produces more than 60 types of bread and pastries every day, which we regularly deliver to our customers. All our products are made in compliance with the highest quality standards. We operate in accordance with strict internationally recognized quality management certifications such as ISO, HACCP and Halal. All Klas products are transported using special deep-freezing technology, which gives bakery products a shelf life of one year. Such products only need to be baked in a mini bakery and they are automatically fresh and warm. Thanks to this fact, we place our products in more than 20 countries around the world,” states Boris Brković, director of the Klas company.
In addition to the daily breads produced by the Velepekara, since the end of last year, production of new mixed breads with a shelf life of 30 days has begun. The daily production capacity of mixed breads is between 15,000 and 20,000 pieces. In addition to all stores in Bosnia and Herzegovina where Klas products can be found, and recently breads as well, the Klas company emphasizes that they are especially proud of their 30 well-stocked retail chains Bazar and Klas stores.
