Funeral prayer for brutally murdered Aldina Jahić held

(Patria) - The funeral prayer for brutally murdered Aldina Jahić, who was killed in Mostar by Anis Kalajdžić, was held today after the afternoon prayer in Miljanovci near Kalesija.

Hundreds of citizens, family members, relatives, friends, and neighbors gathered in front of the new mosque in this settlement to bid their final farewell and respectfully escort the thirty-two-year-old woman whose death has shaken the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This very act of brutality once again exposed the extent of femicide and violence against women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, triggering a wave of public reactions and demands for more urgent systemic protection measures.

A large number of citizens arrived in Miljanovci today to attend the funeral prayer and pay tribute to Aldina, whom, according to neighbors and friends, everyone knew as a quiet, hardworking, and smiling person.

On the occasion of today's funeral prayer, the Mayor of Kalesija Municipality, Nermin Mujkanović, declared November 19th a Day of Mourning, emphasizing that the community is deeply affected by this loss and that more must be done to prevent new cases of violence against women.
