Funeral and burial of Nijaz Halilović, former principal of the Gymnasium in Sanski Most, held

(Patria) - The funeral and burial of Nijaz Halilović were held today in Donji Kamengrad near Sanski Most, attended by thousands of people.

Halilović was killed three days ago at the Gymnasium in Sanski Most, where he was the principal, in a bloody rampage by the janitor, Mehmed Vukalić.

Vukalić also killed the English teacher Gordana Midžan and the school secretary Nisveta Kljunić.

After that, he shot himself and was hospitalized at the UKC RS in Banja Luka due to his injuries.

Halilović was also a teacher of democracy and human rights, the principal of a mixed school, and then the Gymnasium. He served as a councilor for three terms in the Sanski Most Municipal Council, representing the SDP.

He had only one year left until retirement, which he did not live to see.
