SARAJEVO, (Patria) - KJKP Toplane Sarajevo today thanked their users, citizens and businesses in the Sarajevo Canton for their trust. They announced the continuation of expanding the network of users together with investors in construction facilities, whom they thank for the previous partnership cooperation, thereby jointly contributing to reducing the number of furnaces and air pollution in the Sarajevo Canton.
"The operational readiness of the heating plants, according to the Ordinance on general conditions for the production, distribution and use of thermal energy, remains until May 15, 2020 in case of low temperatures. At the end of the heating season, which officially began on October 15, 2019, we can point out that we had a temperature-favorable winter season, with 191 days of active heating so far, we especially highlight the month of October, for which we reduced fixed bills for users by 10%. Despite individual problems on the outdated network and infrastructure that were resolved thanks to our on-call teams through 532 interventions, we had no major interruptions in the delivery of thermal energy.
Given the new circumstances, we take the opportunity to publicly thank our workers, especially the production, distribution and service departments, for their contribution to maintaining the continuity of thermal energy delivery to our users in all weather conditions.
Finally, we must also address the situation we are in caused by the emergence of the coronavirus, because only together can we get through these challenging times. It is very important that we all respect the prescribed prevention measures issued by the competent authorities. In this way, we protect our own health, the health of our family members and the environment," the heating plant stated.
Also, the director of this company, Berin Alagić, sent a letter on Wednesday to the Minister of Communal Economy and Infrastructure, Nihada Glamoč, informing her that due to low morning temperatures, the heating of residential and business units will continue to the extent necessary.
"The daily heating regime will depend on the outside air temperatures," the letter states.
