Kino Novi Grad: Over 10,000 Citizens Watched 280 Films

Kino Novi Grad marked its first anniversary, providing this municipality with additional cultural content where current film titles were screened, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

On Friday, December 26, at 8 p.m. at Kino Novi Grad, lovers of the seventh art will be able to watch the family comedy „Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb“ for free, and for the youngest, on Saturday at 1 p.m., modest gifts will be prepared.

Over the year, more than 10,000 citizens visited this cinema. 80 films were shown, and 280 screenings were held. Screening times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in the evening, with children's films on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. The most-watched film was „Dumb and Dumber To“, which was seen by 475 viewers over three days. 

During this period, cooperation was established with a large number of preschool and school institutions from this and neighboring municipalities, thus the cinema proved its justification for existence and became a place of cultural events. Ticket prices are affordable for everyone, and visitors are also provided with free parking under video surveillance. 

The films shown at Kino Novi Grad are very often premieres of world hits. However, the Department for Education, Culture, Sports and Local Integrated Development of the Novi Grad Municipality ensures that the cinema shows films tailored to the audience, thus fulfilling an educational goal, especially when it comes to the youngest audience.
