China Criticized Schmidt and Called on the International Community to Address BiH

(Patria) - China's representative to the United Nations Security Council spoke at a session concerning the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and criticized High Representative Christian Schmidt.

He also thanked Serbia and Croatia for maintaining stability!

"We call on everyone to engage in constructive dialogue and to ensure reconciliation and inclusivity. All parties must put people first. China thanks Serbia, Croatia, and other neighboring countries working towards the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina," he concluded.

In his speech, China's representative emphasized that Beijing is concerned about certain trends in BiH.

"Peace and stability must be maintained, and EU integration must be accelerated, which must receive the support of the entire international community. We welcome elections that show inclusivity and that ethnic groups refrained from a difficult atmosphere. We are concerned that for some time, processes in BiH have truly intensified the threat to unity. Processes are facing political divisions, and all of this is becoming much more complex. We call on ethnic groups to engage in dialogue and preserve political stability," he stated, adding that he calls on the international community to address BiH and to respect the three ethnic communities and make decisions in the interest of all.

"The High Representative and his system, and our position, have not changed. We remain concerned about the controversies regarding the use of the Bonn powers. Schmidt often uses the Bonn powers, which leads to greater divisions. All of this is a controversy. He interferes in the work of BiH. These are issues that should be influenced by the citizens themselves, especially when it comes to the Bonn powers," he conveyed.
