(Patria) - Member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Safet Kešo, reacted to the scandalous statement by the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, made during his visit to our country, as well as to the protest note sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
- Our entire public has reacted very strongly and sharply with full justification, calling Jandroković's statement an act of hostility towards Bosnia and Herzegovina during a so-called friendly visit. After a very long hesitation, the one who should have and had to do it first reacted among the last, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, Elmedin Konaković, who allegedly sent a protest note to Croatia - Kešo began, and explained:
- I say "allegedly" because the content of that protest note, for some reason, has remained shrouded in mystery and inaccessible to the public, which is completely unreasonable and raises questions about the credibility of the protest note or the validity and nature of its content. Especially since in previous situations Konaković published the content of protest notes that were delivered to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As he adds, the question arises why the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament believes that he is allowed and should openly and publicly threaten the disappearance of our country if it is not organized according to Tuđman's standards from historical dead ends where Jandroković still stands and shouts today, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country simultaneously believes that he is not allowed and should not publicly, clearly, loudly, and resolutely shout with a protest note to Croatia through all media.
- Is Konaković perhaps doing this to preserve good neighborly relations with a neighbor who came to your house to tell you that your house will disappear if you don't arrange it according to his idea. No and no. Only mutual respect can be the formula for good neighborly relations. And it is not achieved by condescension towards anyone.
There is no justification for the fact that the public finds confirmation of the existence of a protest note in the reaction-statement of the NGO HNS, and that a principled reaction, which also does not contain a single quoted word from the text of the protest note to which that reaction specifically refers - states Kešo.
Therefore, he continues, there is no doubt that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, is obliged to publish the content of the protest note he allegedly sent to the Republic of Croatia.
- If that's not some kind of problem, of course. And it could be, given that Konaković earlier, while appearing on HRT, in a similar situation, did not have the courage to clearly and loudly answer the direct question "whether Croatia committed aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina".
The long-term servile attitude of Konaković (and the Trojka in general) towards the authorities of the Republic of Croatia and both HDZs (and they have shown similar submissive obedience towards Milorad Dodik and Serbia for too long) has encouraged Jandroković to threaten our country with an ultimatum, and then, what audacity, to "explain" that we here were not able to properly understand the "friendly" nature of his messages and his visit as a whole - emphasized the state representative.
He considers this unbelievable.
- And would Jandroković, since he is willing to explain statements and their meaning afterwards, perhaps be able to "explain" the statement of his ideological father Franjo Tuđman from December 27, 1991, which reads "one should not count on BiH as something given by God and meant to remain. The survival of BiH as independent and sovereign, even if possible, is in any case detrimental to the Croatian people, prevents the normal territorial realization of the Croatian state and creates prerequisites for the disappearance of that part of the Croatian people as it is today in BiH" - he adds.
We who love Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kešo continues, have understood this Tuđman's message from 1991 very well as our life and have correctly "interpreted" it in the period from 1992-1995.
- Therefore, no one should doubt our ability to clearly understand all messages. Both Jandroković's, when he utters them during a "friendly" visit. And Konaković's, when he enigmatically hides them from the public - he concluded.
