(Patria) - To improve surgical practice and enable faster and safer recovery for patients, the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (KCUS) hosted an expert program dedicated to robot-assisted, minimally invasive surgeries. This is one of the most advanced methods in modern medicine.
The program is being implemented in cooperation with the Azorg hospital from Aalst (Belgium) and includes expert lectures, as well as live demonstration surgeries broadcast from the operating room, allowing for direct knowledge exchange between domestic and international experts.
"This is the first time such a form of education and demonstration surgeries in the field of robot-assisted surgery has been organized in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our goal is to create conditions through education and cooperation so that such procedures become available to our patients in the near future, enabling them to receive top-quality healthcare. This approach brings concrete benefits through more precise procedures, faster recovery, and overall better treatment," stated the General Director of KCUS, Alen Pilav.
