(Patria) - The Detroit Pistons were defeated at home last night by the Utah Jazz with a score of 111:119.
The Pistons thus suffered their 25th consecutive loss, coming within reach of a catastrophic record.
Namely, only two teams in NBA history have had a longer uninterrupted losing streak in the same season - the Cleveland Cavaliers (2010/11) and the Philadelphia 76ers (2013/14).
Detroit will join them if they lose on Christmas Eve on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.
- There is no way we are that bad. We certainly don't deserve a 2-26 record - said Cade Cunningham, who was the most efficient player for the Pistons last night, as well as the entire game with 28 points and 10 assists.
Jaden Ivey scored 24 for the home team, and Marvin Bagley two points less.
For the Jazz, the most efficient was Kelly Olynyk with 27 points.
The Pistons are the worst team in the NBA and after 28 games played have a catastrophic record of 2-26. The Jazz, on the other hand, are significantly better with 11 wins and 18 losses.
