Kasper Schmeichel signs for Anderlecht

(Patria) - Danish international and renowned goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has left French side Nice and joined Belgian club Anderlecht.

Schmeichel unexpectedly left Leicester City last summer as team captain and, even more oddly, chose Nice as his next destination.

The Dane became a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Nice and immediately signed a contract with Anderlecht.

Schmeichel signed a 1+1 contract, meaning with the option to extend for another season next summer, reports SCsport.

Let us recall, we are talking about a Leicester legend with whom he won the famous Premier League title, as well as the FA Cup. He is 36 years old, but still plays for his country's national team.
