QUARANTINE OR... West Herzegovina Canton considers decision on ban of exit and entry without a permit

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Cantonal Headquarters of the West Herzegovina Canton is considering introducing the most radical measure. 

Whether this is a modification of the decision recently made and then withdrawn by Canton 10, we will see soon.

Širokobriješka Jabuka TV announced today that the measures were adopted, then denied the news and stated that they are being considered and will be discussed at a meeting of representatives of West Herzegovina Canton, Canton 10, and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. 

These are the measures:

“Leaving the place of residence in the West Herzegovina Canton is prohibited.
This Order does not apply to: traffic and movement for the purpose of supplying the mentioned area, daily commute of employees in services essential for providing health and veterinary protection, delivery of medicines and medical supplies, maintenance of utility activities, water supply and sewerage, gas and electricity supply and security services, media representatives, citizens requiring emergency medical assistance, providing care for children or the elderly, or purchasing food and basic necessities, commuting to and from work, emergency and operational services involved in preventing the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.

A permit must be possessed when entering and leaving the place of residence.

A permit for traffic and movement for the purpose of supplying the mentioned area, daily commute of employees in services essential for providing health and veterinary protection, delivery of medicines and medical supplies, utility maintenance services, water supply and sewerage, gas and electricity supply and security services, media representatives, commuting to and from work, emergency and operational services involved in preventing the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 is issued by responsible persons in the legal entity. For citizens requiring emergency medical assistance, a permit is issued by the family doctor. For persons providing care for children or the elderly, or purchasing food and basic necessities, a permit is issued by the City/Municipal Civil Protection Headquarters.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the West Herzegovina Canton, the Cantonal/City/Municipal Civil Protection Headquarters, and the management bodies of legal entities covered by this Order are responsible for the implementation and supervision of the implementation of this Order, each within their jurisdiction.

This Order applies and enters into force on the day of its adoption, and is valid until April 19, 2020.
