Karamatić offside: His Ustasha mentality spoke, then he insulted Sarajevo in the FBiH Parliament hall

(Patria) - In the middle of today's session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the moment when the Bill on the Protection of Civilian Victims of War in the Federation of BiH was on the agenda, MP Mario Karamatić (HSS) shocked everyone with his "procedural intervention".

- Politics is not the most important side issue in the world, but football is. The champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina is playing qualifications for the Champions League today, so I would suggest we postpone this session so that the fans of Slovan Bratislava can prepare, so that those of us who will cheer for Zrinjski can reach free territory so we can cheer for the club. That is, to come to the Canton of Sarajevo, to the area where the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina is cheered for, in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Central Bosnia, even Tuzla, and even Republika Srpska, because in the area of the Canton of Sarajevo we do not have security conditions to support our team - said Karamatić.

He could not say more because the presiding officer Mirjana Marinković-Lepić interrupted him.

His statement disturbed all present as well as the public.

- Sometimes I understand Karamatić's need to be witty, but this time he crossed all boundaries. I ask the Ethics Committee to react and the parliamentary majority to reason with Karamatić and not to protect hate speech in such a perfidious way - said MP Mirsad Zaimović.

After that, Karamatić started insulting again, and the presiding officer Marinković Lepić took the floor from him for the second time.

Then the deputy presiding officer Edina Gabela came forward and requested a half-hour break, as well as a session of the Ethics Committee due to a violation of the ethical code of the Parliament of the FBiH.
