(Patria) - (Patria) – In the continuation of the debate on the amendments to the South Interconnection Law, the president of the NIP-SPU-POMAK Club, Amra Junuzović-Kaljić, stated that today's vote is on one of the most important laws in the history of BiH's energy sector.
“We will vote for this bill, we are voting for a model that will become a standard for future projects,” Junuzović-Kaljić emphasized.
Admir Čavalić announced that the Club of Independent Representatives will support this law.
Irfan Durić, president of the NES-PDA Club, said that it is evident that all parties in the House are moving in the same direction regarding the adoption of the law, and congratulated them on this, as it is one of the biggest projects, and clearly stated that the NES-PDA Club will support the Bill.
Slaven Raguž (HRS) stated that no reasonable person is against the South Interconnection project. The issue, as he says, is the demand for support for a legally risky law and an unbalanced project. He objected that the Bill was superficially conceived and unconstitutional.
“Why was BH Gas a problem, but this AAFS is not?” Raguž asked, and pointed out that it is more serious that local self-government units were mentioned as project implementers, and that there is nothing to it, and that local self-government units and cantons are left to themselves and without any economic interest in the project.
“Where are the protection mechanisms in case of an accident, who bears the costs? I repeat, the burden on local self-government units and cantons is too great, and they are excluded from decision-making. What will happen if a local self-government unit sues and wins the case, and then the investor, who is incorporated into the law, sues us due to delays?” Raguž stated.
He reiterated that he is not speaking against the project, but that it is poorly done.
Mario Karamatić mocked the unity of most representatives regarding the interconnection and American interest.
Edina Gabela, on behalf of the Party for BiH Club, stated that the party had previously said it would not support these amendments.
She asked why BH Gas was abandoned, and a company with no experience in such projects was accepted. Gabela clearly stated at the end that SBiH will not support the amendments.
Speaking on behalf of the Our Party Club, Dragan Mioković emphasized that they will support the amendments, as it is a platform for establishing relations with the investor.
At the end of the debate, the Chairperson Azra Okić called a break and decided to convene a Collegium, to which the relevant minister, Vedran Lakić, was also invited.
