(Patria) - Fikret Karajbić, now former goalkeeper of Čelik, mutually terminated his contract today, with the Zenica club given until March 31, 2020 to pay all debts.
"I didn't want to sue the club where I played for the last two years. I could have collected a much larger sum of money, but that wasn't my interest. I have a couple of offers and the most important thing for me right now are my papers," said Karajbić, adding that he will soon reveal where he will continue his career.
Incidentally, Karajbić, although he had a previously reserved ticket, did not travel to Turkey for preparations. No one had a valid explanation for why he was turned back at the Airport, after which Karajbić requested the termination of his contract with Čelik.
He also sought help from the Professional Footballers' Union. Fikret Karajbić, a 25-year-old from Zavidovići, as a boy of 15 guarded the net for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U15 national team. He spent a period in Austria, and shortly after, at the age of 17, he moved to Čelik from Zenica, where he raised his goalkeeping skills to an even higher level.
