One of the greatest Bosnian talents in the cadet age group, Andrej Đokanović, has signed a professional, three-year contract with FK Sarajevo.
This young footballer, born on 1 March 2001, is the captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina U-17 national team and also wears the captain's armband for the cadets of the FK Sarajevo Academy. In the current season, where the cadets of the Maroon club hold first place in the league table after fifteen rounds, with a 10-point lead over the second-placed team and a goal difference of 68:2, he has scored four goals as a defender.
- I am very happy and satisfied after signing the contract. It is a big thing for me to have signed a contract with the biggest club in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hope that in the years to come, through my work, I will earn the opportunity to play for the first team of Sarajevo. I am grateful to the club for their trust and support - said Đokanović.
The coach of the Maroon club's cadets, Admir Hasančić, provided us with more information about Đokanović.
- He is very talented and is the captain of our cadets and the Bosnia and Herzegovina U-17 national team, which has passed the first round of qualifications. He is a quality boy with good motor skills and physical strength. He can play in several positions, including right back and defensive midfielder. He played very well up to the cadet age group, and we wish him all the best. He certainly has room for improvement, and if he continues on his path, we believe he will become a first-team player in due time - said Hasančić.
Sanjin Alagić, head of the Maroon club's Academy, also spoke about Đokanović's qualities.
- Andrej previously received an invitation to play for the youth national teams of Serbia, but he chose Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been a member of the FK Sarajevo Academy for several years and has proven to be exceptionally talented and quality. He has very good character traits, is dedicated to work and training, and we believe he represents the future of FK Sarajevo. I think the fact that he signed a contract at the age of sixteen speaks enough about his potential - concluded Alagić.
