Captain Džeko: Two tough matches await us, but in the end everything depends on us

After Ireland was drawn today as the opponent of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team in the play-offs for the European Championship, numerous reactions are arriving, and captain Edin Džeko emphasizes that it will not be easy, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- We are expecting two extremely difficult matches against Ireland, whom we greatly respect. They fought until the last round to go to the Euro and the fact that they did not lose in two matches against Germany speaks volumes about their strength. Nevertheless, I believe that the professional staff of the national team, just as before, will analyze their strengths and weaknesses and prepare us for what awaits us. Personally, I know most of the Irish players from the Premier League, but I also believe they know us - Džeko wrote on Facebook.

The captain also added that nothing will be left to chance.

- We will prepare for what awaits us, and it is important that in both matches we enter, not with 100 percent, but with 200 percent of our capabilities, because only then can we advance. Of course, it would be good if we achieved a good result in the first match in Zenica before the return leg. We have come within a step of qualifying for the Euro and whichever team we had drawn, two tough matches would await us.
