Kapić: Matches can be watched in cafes, but we do not expect extra profit due to the match times

Some time ago, BHT, the public broadcaster that will broadcast all World Cup football matches from Brazil, announced that public viewing of World Cup matches would only be possible with a FIFA license. However, caterers across Bosnia and Herzegovina have resolved this dilemma and established that there are no obstacles to watching matches in establishments, writes the Patria news agency.

Sulejman Kapić, president of the Association of Caterers of Sarajevo Canton, explained in a statement for NAP that organized viewing of matches refers to open spaces, halls, arenas, stadiums, and charging admission for viewing.

- However, watching in cafes and restaurants is spontaneous, because people are not charged tickets to enter the establishment – says Kapić.

Cafes and restaurants will work longer as usual during the season, because there is such a decision by the authorities, but he still does not expect any additional profit.

- The matches are very late and I believe that people will want to watch the matches in a more intimate atmosphere and with a closer circle of friends. Then Ramadan comes, so I think that caterers will not have any additional profit. If the matches were at a decent time, it would be an event from which caterers would also profit, but as it is, I am not optimistic – says Kapić.
