How Bosniaks Became Ikebanas in the Political System of Bosnia and Herzegovina

By: Muamer Bandić (Member of the Party of BiH in the KS Assembly)

The Constitution of the FBiH stipulates that Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs, as constituent peoples, along with other citizens of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, shall equally regulate the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is further stipulated that the Government of the FBiH is appointed by the President of the Federation with the consent of both Vice-Presidents. Therefore, according to the Constitution of the FBiH, the Government of the Federation cannot be appointed without the signatures of both Vice-Presidents of the FBiH.

Thus, the suspension of the FBiH Constitution for 24 hours by the High Representative and the appointment of an imposed FBiH Government without the signatures of the Vice-President from the Bosniak people represents a gross violation of the FBiH Constitution and the constitutionally guaranteed rights of a constituent people in BiH.

In this way, the basic principle of reciprocity in the process of regulating the FBiH has been violated to the detriment of Bosniaks, and in our political-legal practice, we currently have inequality among constituent peoples. The mere consent to the temporary suspension of the FBiH Constitution is an act of betrayal for which, if it concerned another constituent people, I highly doubt there would be an accomplice willing to agree to such solutions.

This, of course, does not bother the false Sarajevo liberals and social democrats, who view parts of BiH inhabited by Bosniaks as merely a naive electoral base that they muddy with lies under the guise of citizenship. In the real world, these same people, who remain silent when decisions are made to the detriment of Bosniaks, other citizens, and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, fight for the national interests of Croatia and Serbia in BiH with greater fervor than the duo Čović-Dodik.

The appeal filed by Monika Mijić and Jelena Cvijetić to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg regarding the Court's decision in the case of Slaven Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina completely demystifies these false fighters for a civic Bosnia and Herzegovina. None of the parties of the Trojan Horse raised a voice against the filed appeal, let alone did any of their ministers act institutionally in a case where HDZ and SNSD use our state's institutions to fight against it and further undermine it. Moreover, the party leaders of these false civic options, even when they publicly declared themselves, merely repeated the anti-civic positions of HDZ and SNSD in a slightly softened version.

Parties that claim to be civic, multinational, pro-Bosniak, and liberal are doing nothing against an appeal that undermines civic Bosnia and Herzegovina. By doing so, they undermine and render meaningless their own political orientation and the narrative they sell to naive voters, namely Bosniaks in larger urban areas, which is largely a fight against the concept of ethnic political representation. How much they care about their own political ideas, identity, culture, or any principles is sufficiently demonstrated by their tacit support for a domestic abuser in the BiH Parliament.

They may have a nice story in the public sphere, but it seems that in political practice, Bosniak ikebanas only fight for personal interests and against the legitimate representation of Bosniaks, while they do not interfere with the representation of Croats and Serbs. This was exposed to the bone by the procedure for electing a new judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, namely HDZ's wunderkind Marin Vukoja, with no day of work experience in judicial practice. In this case, Mr. Vukoja has already been elected to the Constitutional Court of BiH because it is Dragan Čović's wish, and these cowardly eggs among Bosniaks do not interfere, but rather strive with all their might to fulfill that wish.

The only catch why Mr. Vukoja is not yet a de facto judge is the legal procedure, but believe me, even that is not such a big problem for today's Croatian elite, who will fight with all their might to overcome even this "minor" legal and procedural problem, to the great joy of today's true Master of the Federation. It is only for this reason that changes to the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament are being initiated.

If it were any Bosniak, one of the other citizens, or any Bosniak position within the political system of BiH, these same false Walters would not even notice the problem, let alone raise their voice or try to ensure that a Bosniak or other citizen exercises their basic political rights. Just pay attention to how these same false citizens and liberals are helping Slaven Kovačević, Jakob Finci, Azra Zornić, or Ilijaz Pilav today. Perhaps one day they will help these people, true Bosnians and Herzegovinians, but only if Master Čović orders them to.

It is simply unbelievable with what energy these gravediggers of civic Bosnia and Herzegovina are fighting against their own country just to please one ethnic option in all political processes currently taking place in BiH, from the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, through amendments to the Election Law of BiH, to the resolution of the issue of state property. The election of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH will ultimately ensure the HDZ, for the next 20 years, complete legitimization and passage of anti-state policies.

It is now completely clear that these false citizens, social democrats, and liberals are cowardly eggs in the pro-Bosniak political body and a Trojan horse served to the Bosniak electorate. Their task is to weaken state-building political forces in relation to the position of anti-state agents within the political system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will ultimately achieve the goals of aggression against our country by peaceful, political means. To destroy the state, cannons, tanks, huge armies, and bloody wars are not needed. Today, it is quite enough to buy a couple of obscure figures with hungry eyes and great ambitions with ministerial chairs, but ready to obediently raise their hands when told!
