When Work Pays Off: FK Sarajevo Dominates Summer Cup, Three Golds and a Bronze!

(Patria) - Last weekend in Sarajevo, the Summer Cup 2019 took place, with boys from several age groups from five countries showcasing their football skills.

The most successful team this year was definitely FK Sarajevo and the participants of the Asim Ferhatović Hase football school. The maroon boys took three gold medals in the age groups 2006, 2008, and 2009, while the boys born in 2010 won a bronze medal.

At the end of the season, the maroon boys, led by coaches Iso Bajrić, Anes Kozić, Emil Šabanović, and Dženan Silajdžić, showed that FK Sarajevo is doing an excellent job in its youth academy.

At this year's Summer Cup, they literally dominated the green field.

Anes Vilić (2009) was named top scorer, Amar Zahirović (2008) best player, and the title of best goalkeeper in the 2006 generation went to Ardi Hiroš.
Titles at the Summer Cup were also won by Zrinjski, Mlade nade, Bambinosi, and Derby.

Nermin Demirović, the tournament organizer, said he is happy and satisfied that everything went smoothly.

„We are grateful first of all to the children, and then to the clubs and parents who were part of the Summer Cup. We had children from five countries who had fun, and in the end, the best ones won prizes,“ said Demirović.

In memory of sports worker Faik Kolar, this award, named after the esteemed sports worker, was symbolically presented this year.
The "Faik Kolar" award thus went to Hasan Kurbašević (2011), a member of the Dandy - Novi Pazar football school.
