When Economists Let Their Imagination Run Wild, Beautiful Jewelry is Created

Tamara Vranjevac and Zoran Tomić from Zvornik are economics graduates, but after working hours, they invest all their creativity into making jewelry and accessories, writes the BH news agency Patria.

Interesting and unusual jewelry called MIX has been available for four years, and with imagination, love, and effort, this duo creates various wonders.

- We are proud of the fact that more than 5,000 items from our creative studio have found their owners so far, and this number is constantly growing day by day - says Vranjevac.

What sets them apart for customers are striking, romantic necklaces, although they also make earrings, bracelets, hair accessories, bow ties, watches, etc., to order.

 - We try to use as diverse materials as possible in jewelry making, such as interesting fabrics, buttons, lace, crystals, beads, ropes, chains, and metal decorations and connectors, and we complement all this by applying various techniques, dominated by decoupage - explains Vranjevac, adding that their jewelry has a vintage and retro touch, which is the main characteristic of MIX jewelry.

- The jewelry is intended for romantic, stylized ladies who want to stand out from the stereotypes and templates that flood our streets. The beauty, style, and uniqueness of design know no bounds, so we ship orders to all cities, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also abroad. More than 40% of envelopes go abroad, with Serbia being dominant, and recently we have been sending more and more to Croatia - says Vranjevac.

The plan of this duo is to expand production and build a larger workshop that will accommodate all the small items and details they have collected for future orders. It is interesting that the promotion and sales take place through the social network Facebook.

- Starting such a business and surviving in the Facebook market for all these years is much harder than you can imagine. In less than two years of existence, we have gained the trust of 5,000 FB friends, which is the maximum number for one FB profile. We strive to maintain that trust, and we also have a large number of followers who actively follow our posts and collect MIX items like souvenirs from trips.

Vranjevac emphasizes that they put a lot of love into everything they make, and their private lives and rest often suffer so that they can fulfill all orders and make someone happy on a special day.

- The satisfaction cannot be measured by money when we see a photo of a customer wearing a MIX item or when we receive a message from a satisfied and delighted customer who has just seen off the postman from their doorstep. Jewelry making is not a profitable business where you can amass immense material wealth, but I can responsibly claim that it is a business where you can gain something more important, realize your creative self, and give yourself the opportunity to do something important for others - concludes Vranjevac.
