Jusuf Nurkić Selected Among Top 50 NBA Players

ESPN has been releasing the results of its traditional poll for the best NBA players of the previous season in the past few days, reports the Patria News Agency.

They have released the results of the Top 100 players selection. Among them is the name of one of the two Bosnian-Herzegovinian basketball players playing in the world's strongest league.

Jusuf Nurkić secured the 44th position. The leading European player is Nikola Jokić, who holds the 16th position.

Analyst Fran Blinebury believes that Nurkić could be among the most improved players next season.

- When Nurkić moved from Denver to Portland, it was a move that benefited both teams. Denver had to make more space for Jokić, but Portland made no mistake by bringing Nurkić to their roster. He perfectly complemented the shooting duo Lillard – McCollum, and he is also a good passer.

Nurkić was a true double-double monster until he got injured, which caused him to miss the end of the regular season. He only returned in the playoff series against Golden State, where he had a cameo role. However, with a healthy Nurkić, Portland has a chance for a strong comeback – stated in the analysis on the NBA league website.

Due to injury, Nurkić also canceled his participation in the national team, and it prevented him from continuing with the good performances he delivered for his team, where he averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.

In the next season, he is one of the main candidates for the "Most Improved Player" title, as announced on the official NBA league portal.

Mirza Teletović did not find his place among the Top 100 NBA players.
