Jürgen Klopp to leave Liverpool at the end of the season

(Patria) - Football Club Liverpool announced that Jürgen Klopp, one of the most successful coaches in the club's history, will step down from his coaching duties at the end of the season.

The German will thus spend a total of just under nine years on the bench of the Anfield club, during which he won everything there was to win.

- I can understand that this is a shock for many people at this moment, when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it - or at least try to explain it.

I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our fans, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything.

But the fact that I am still making this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to make - said Klopp.

The German expert explains that he is at the end of his strength.

- I have no problems now, obviously, I knew for a long time that I would have to announce this at some point, but I am completely fine now. I know I can't do the job again, and again, and again, and again.

After the years we have spent together and after all the time we have spent together and after everything we have been through together, respect has grown for you, love has grown for you, and the least I owe you is the truth - and that is the truth - stated Klopp.

Klopp was appointed manager of Liverpool on October 8, 2015. Under his leadership, Liverpool won the Champions League, the Premier League, the Club World Cup, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and the Super Cup, as well as the FA Community Shield.
