(Patria) - The legendary Spanish tenor, who is performing tonight at the Skenderija Hall, spent the day before the concert socializing with children and parents at Jezero, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in the fight against leukemia.
José Carreras, a man who himself beat leukemia, dedicated his free time in Sarajevo to those fighting the toughest battles of their lives. The visit to the Parent's House was filled with deep understanding and empathy. Carreras, who is holding a concert to remember tonight at the 'Mirza Delibašić' Hall, did not hide his enthusiasm for the concept of the house, and shared his impressions with his social media followers.
"Visit to the Sarajevo Parent's House. A place that welcomes children with cancer and their families. Fantastic initiative, very similar to the one we have at the 'José Carreras' Foundation against leukemia with our accommodation apartments. Together we are unstoppable!", wrote the famous tenor on his official Instagram profile along with a photo with the hosts.
The photo shows Carreras in the company of representatives of the Association, holding a symbolic gift of gratitude. The hosts emphasized that the arrival of a star of this caliber is an immense moral support for the children. For them, yesterday he was not just a world-renowned artist, but a comrade-in-arms who understands their every step towards recovery. While the audience eagerly awaits tonight's spectacle with the Sarajevo Philharmonic, this meeting remains a reminder that the greatest victories are those won with heart and solidarity, it was announced from Music Time.
