Have Bosniaks ceased to be a political nation?

(Patria) - If you closely followed the addresses of the member states of the UN Security Council yesterday on the topic of the political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you might have noticed that only the representative of the Russian Federation mentioned Bosniaks.

Other representatives of the Security Council member states did not mention Bosniaks at all, as if they do not exist as a political nation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country that was the subject of discussion.

Representatives of the Security Council member states mentioned Serbs and Croats, and the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and mentioned them much more than the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but no one, except the Russians, mentioned Bosniaks at all.

Admittedly, the representative of the Russian Federation did so in a negative, or rather not entirely favorable context, but even such a mention at least meant that someone, even the Russian representative, perceived Bosniaks as a political nation.

Of course, this is not a reason to say anything good about Russian policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, as there is almost nothing good in it, nor is it a reason to resent our Western partners for clearly not seeing Bosniaks as a political nation.

Bosniaks, or their current political representatives embodied in the "Bosniak reform bloc," as their political godfather Christian Schmidt calls them, are themselves to blame for the fact that no one (except the Russians) perceives them as a political nation.

However, this should not surprise anyone, because the officials of the Bosniak reform bloc themselves have repeatedly stated that they are not Bosniaks, even though they have occupied Bosniak positions within the Bosniak quota.

They are, in fact, false Bosniaks, just as there are among them those who present themselves as social democrats, false social democrats, and those who present themselves as liberals, false liberals. So, everything in this representation is false, from political identity to the way of political action.

Admittedly, even those who said they were Bosniaks in a political sense were not particularly better, but at least they did not renounce or deny their Bosniak political identity.

The current Bosniak reform bloc is most responsible for the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina is discussed before the Security Council without mentioning Bosniaks.

That "Bosniak reform bloc," embodied in the Trojka, which rose against the ethnic tripod, has reduced Bosnia and Herzegovina to a Serb-Croat two-legged stool.

Thus, the next government will probably not even be formed with the approval of foreigners. The approval of SNSD and HDZ will be enough for the Bosniak representation that suits them and is to their liking.

Of course, the alternative to the ethnic tripod can be a pillar around which a civic democratic majority gathers, but that requires strength, struggle, and patience. The Bosniak reform bloc, which has reduced Bosnia and Herzegovina to a political Serb-Croat two-legged stool, has none of that.

This has led to the political desubjectivization of Bosniaks, which was crystal clear at the session of the United Nations Security Council.

In historical retrospect, the Bosniak reform bloc is leading Bosniaks towards the status of Muslims with a small m, and that path further leads to the status of Muslims without any M, big or small, through Šahovići, to the investigation of Poturica.
