Jarni: BiH will spoil someone's plans in Brazil!

Robert Jarni, head of the professional staff of FK Sarajevo, in an interview with the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) revealed that he is not satisfied with Croatia's draw for Euro 2014, wished BiH luck in Brazil, and said that he is already getting used to the job of head of the professional staff of FK Sarajevo. This former celebrated Croatian national team player and Real Madrid player says he was a little afraid of how the 'bordo' team would react to his arrival, because, as he says, changing coaches mid-season can be like shock therapy for players.

However, the players accepted him very well and fulfilled all the tasks he set for them. To remind you, Jarni succeeded Husref Musemić at the helm of Sarajevo, who had to step down for health reasons, and signed a contract for a year and a half.

- Around me is a team of all professionals. Honestly, I was a little, let's say skeptical, but I didn't know how the players would react to me. But, the players reacted fantastically and accepted everything I set before them. And now I can only say words of praise for every player, and now what is most important awaits us, the continuation of the season – says Jarni.

Sarajevo has brought in several prominent names during the transfer window, and fans, as well as the club's management, are hoping for the championship title.

- I don't know what our limits are. Whether we will win the championship or not, nobody knows, only the One above. We have done everything and will do everything to be the first to cut the celebratory ribbon. Now, we will see how it goes. We have completed our preparations, the weather was fantastic in Antalya, and we fulfilled the plan we had – said Jarni.

The head coach of the 'bordo' club says that the players are maximally prepared, which could be seen in the match against Zrinjski.

- All the players who have joined have integrated fantastically into the collective, and there is a phenomenal atmosphere. We have all the prerequisites and we certainly have something to build our optimism on that we will be champions in the end – said Jarni, adding that it will be a handicap for Sarajevo that away fans will not be able to attend matches.

- As far as I know, Sarajevo has always had a large number of fans in away games. However, now we have such a situation, and what can be done. I think my players will try even harder and engage more, and will go for the win in every match – added Jarni.

In an interview with NAP, Jarni revealed why he is not happy with the opponents his Croatia drew in the group for the EURO 2016 qualifiers in France.

- I am not particularly satisfied. Norwegians are a very tough team when they play at home, the pitch is quite narrow, so it will be very difficult there. Bulgaria is a team from the Balkans, and we always have a hard time dealing with such teams. I think Bulgaria is the only one of these teams that has beaten us. Italy is a story in itself, we have played them four or five times and have two wins and a draw. That is positive, but every generation brings its own, and every qualification is different. We need to be careful and prepare maximally, because every match is different, but I hope for Croatia to advance – added Jarni.

Regarding the group that BiH received, Jarni believes that the result from the World Cup in Brazil will influence our football selection and its future results.

- I think the qualification for the World Cup will have a very, very big impact on the atmosphere in the BiH team. We need to see how the journalists will react to all of this. I don't think there should be a bad reaction even if they don't advance from the group, but I predicted that since there is always someone at every tournament who spoils someone's plans, and this year I think BiH is the one that will spoil many plans – said Jarni, adding that the players and coach Safet Sušić need support so they can play each match without pressure.
