Jannik Sinner wins Australian Open

(Patria) - Italian Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open today.

After 3 hours and 46 minutes of tennis, Sinner triumphed over Russian Daniil Medvedev with a great comeback - the score was 3:6, 3:6, 6:4, 6:4, 6:3.

Medvedev won the first two sets with an identical score of 6:3, while Sinner retaliated in the next two, also with an identical score of 6:4.

In the fifth, decisive set, one break was enough for Sinner, which he made in the sixth game, for the final celebration and the first Grand Slam title of his career.

It is an interesting fact that this is the first time since 2005 that none of the three tennis legends of the 21st century (Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Novak Djokovic) have played in the Australian Open final.

19 years ago, Marat Safin and Lleyton Hewitt met in the final, and the Russian tennis player celebrated with a score of 3:1.
