Israel devastates, Iran retaliates: Middle East on the brink of wider war

(Patria) - Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has appointed three religious officials as possible successors in case he is killed in Israeli attacks. He has also reorganized the military chain of command due to the risk of death of senior officers.

Israel carried out two significant attacks today. The nuclear power plant in Isfahan was bombed, confirmed by the IAEA, stating that there was no nuclear material at the site.

An emergency center in the city of Hoveyzeh (Huzestan province) was destroyed, according to Iranian sources, with no casualties.

Iran quickly reorganized and launched counterattacks on Israeli targets, including a hospital and a refinery in Haifa.

At the same time, the Houthis in Yemen warned the US that they would attack American ships if Washington became involved in the war.

The attacks represent the most serious threat to Iran since the war with Iraq in the 1980s, and Khamenei's moves show the seriousness of the situation and preparations for possible worst-case scenarios.
