
(Patria) - Climatological spring (March 1 – May 31, 2026) is expected to be warmer than the long-term average for the period 1991-2020, according to available forecast models.
According to the models, all three months will be warmer compared to the reference period.
The largest temperature deviations from the norm are expected in March, especially in the first half of the month. The probability of the forecast being realized is moderate to high, around 60%. Greater temperature deviations are expected in the northern areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Spring 2026 is expected to be approximately as warm as the same period last year. Although warmer than average weather is expected, the occurrence of frost during this period is very likely.
The expected number of frost days (minimum air temperature < 0.0 °C) in Bosnia during the spring of 2026 is up to 11, and in the southern Herzegovina region, up to 2 frost days.
