Izetbegović: The Troika sold the interests of the state and the pride of Bosniaks, and is trying to do so again in Central Bosnia

(Patria) - Central pre-election rallies of the municipal organizations of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) were held in Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje and Jajce.

They presented the candidate for mayor of Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Esmin Hajdarević, and the candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Jajce, Edin Hozan, as well as SDA candidates for municipal councils.

Those present at the rallies were addressed by SDA President Bakir Izetbegović, who announced a new victory for the SDA in Gornji Vakuf and Jajce.

- We have always won here and we will always win. And while others wander, dissipate, and experiment, the Bosniaks of Central Bosnia persistently stick with the right choice, preserving their SDA, aware that it has always pursued realistic policies that brought results and stood in the way of retrograde policies - said Izetbegović.

He recalled the concrete results of the work of the FBiH Government under the leadership of Fadil Novalić, the Government of the Central Bosnia Canton - led by Prime Minister Tahir Lendo, and the successes of SDA mayors of Gornji Vakuf and Jajce.

Speaking about the Prime Minister of the Central Bosnia Canton, Tahir Lendo, Izetbegović emphasized that the European Commission's decision not to accept the Reform Program submitted to Brussels by the ruling coalition at the state level confirms the correctness of Lendo's and other SDA cantonal prime ministers' stance not to give consent to a document from which, at the request of the SNSD, reforms that strengthen the state and its institutions were removed, while all demands of Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović were inserted.

The SDA President also recalled the unification of certain parties with the intention, with the help of the SNSD, HDZ, and certain foreign embassies, to remove from power at the state and federal level the party that represents the people's choice.

- None of this would be possible without those who sold the interests of the state and the people for three chairs for the three presidents of those parties - stated Izetbegović.

He recalled the consent of the Troika parties to a one-day suspension of the FBiH Constitution, which bypassed the political will of the Bosniak people, and then the numerous concessions made by the Troika to partners from the SNSD and HDZ.

- They sold the honor and pride of the Bosniaks. But they did not succeed in Central Bosnia. Only here. And it was precisely from this place that the return of the SDA began, from where we returned to power in the Tuzla Canton, Una-Sana Canton, and Zenica-Doboj Canton - said Izetbegović.

He then also recalled the attempts to undermine the position of Bosniaks in the Central Bosnia Canton.

- In the 2020 elections, they offered candidates in those municipalities where the number of Bosniaks and Croats is balanced, and this was done to help the HDZ.

They succeeded in Novi Travnik, and then they helped the HDZ in Mostar, as well as the war criminal Fikret Abdić in Velika Kladuša and the SNSD in Srebrenica. They are trying the same thing again.

They know well that they have no chance of winning, but with their candidacies they increase the chances of the HDZ. They do this knowingly, just as they knowingly have already handed over to the HDZ the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, the Motorways, the Environmental Protection Fund, the Agency for Civil Service, and a whole range of other important positions - emphasized the SDA President.

What the appointment of an HDZ judge to the Constitutional Court of BiH meant in practice, Izetbegović illustrated with the latest decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding the TOM Factory in Gornji Vakuf, in which that judge protected the interests of the HDZ, not the citizens of Gornji Vakuf.

At the end of his address, he called on all citizens of Gornji Vakuf and Jajce to go to the polls and support Esmin Hajdarević and Edin Hozan for mayors, as well as the lists of SDA candidates for municipal councils.
