Izetbegović: We would have done everything better and we did everything better than the Trojka

(Patria) - A formal academy was held in the Multimedia hall of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Municipal organization of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Novi Grad.

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović addressed the attendees, emphasizing in his introduction the importance of this Sarajevo municipality in the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the founding and affirmation of the SDA.

- Novi Grad led in everything that the SDA set as its goal back in 1990, in political and military organization, in the defense of the multi-ethnic substance of BiH, because the percentage of defenders in Novi Grad who were not Bosniaks is significant. Then in restoring dignity to Bosniaks through the affirmation of their culture and faith - said Izetbegović.

Speaking about the current political moment, Izetbegović said that this mandate, in which the SDA was forcibly removed and the Trojka installed by force against the Constitution, should help citizens see the truth.

- The incompetence and inability of the Trojka will force people to look back and ask themselves: What would have happened if the SDA had not been there in critical moments of recent history, if decisions were made by the Trojka members, who for months cannot build a few meters of railway in Jablanica, who cannot agree on the Reform Program, so we lose a hundred million euros every few months - stated the SDA president.

He recalled the role of the SDA in recent decades, from the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina from aggression, through post-war reconstruction of infrastructure and economy, to the implementation of the most important reforms that built and strengthened state institutions.

- Governments led by the SDA have progressed in everything, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, but they have always progressed. And so it was until October 2022, when delays, blockades, crises, enormous borrowing, price increases, and uncertainty began - stated Izetbegović.

He pointed out that the attitude of the international community towards the SDA is changing, which is shown, among other things, by frequent meetings and contacts with the most important representatives.

Speaking about the attacks of the authorities of the entity of Rs on the constitutional and legal order of BiH, Izetbegović said that these attacks are futile, and that those who lead them will leave the political scene.

- Dodik has defeated himself. After all, he reported himself to the judiciary and forced the judiciary, the international community, and the OHR to oppose him. And they avoided it.

We did not avoid it. We knew that we must not allow the OHR and the international community to leave BiH, and then for him to do what he is now trying to do - stated Izetbegović.

He added that Bosniaks share the same past with other peoples and citizens in BiH, but also the same future which, as he said, must be better.

- That is the task of the SDA. In the upcoming elections, we will not have a serious competitor, but our plan and program will not be just criticism. Journalists often ask me what we could do better than the Trojka. We would have done everything better. And we did everything better. We solved all problems - said Izetbegović.

The president of OO SDA Novi Grad Adnan Efendić and the president of KO SDA Sarajevo Faruk Kapidžić also addressed the attendees at the formal academy.
