(Patria) - Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SDA President Bakir Izetbegović met today with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The meeting confirmed that the existing friendly relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen in the coming period, and that the Republic of Turkey will continue to strongly support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to NATO and European Union membership. The good relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey will be further strengthened in the fields of economy and investment.
Chairman Bakir Izetbegović thanked for the support that the Republic of Turkey provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina in all integration processes, as well as for the support in strengthening Bosnia and Herzegovina's regional cooperation with neighboring countries.
In order to strengthen this cooperation, Izetbegović once again emphasized the importance of building the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway as a major regional infrastructure project.
