The meeting between HDZ BiH and SDA, which began this morning at the HDZ headquarters in Mostar shortly before noon, has concluded.
The leaders of the two parties, Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović, told reporters that they hope the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a stable parliamentary majority in the next two months, writes the Patria News Agency.
No final agreement was reached today on whether SBB will also join the government at the Federation of BiH level, after DF and then BPS left the federal coalition with SDA and HDZ BiH.
Čović has been advocating for SBB to join the government for several months, while Izetbegović has also increasingly spoken recently about the need for reconciliation between SDA and SBB.
- I think the political agenda of SBB and SDA is very close - Izetbegović said in Mostar.
- We have a framework within which, in my opinion, SBB is also an option. We want to stabilize the situation, we want to stop conflicts, we want to reach a consensus regarding the European path of BiH - Izetbegović added.
Discussions on forming a new parliamentary majority in the FBiH will continue soon, announced the leaders of SDA and HDZ BiH. Regarding the recomposition of government at the BiH level, specifically the announcements that SNSD could replace DF and the Alliance for Change, Čović said that it depends on DF whether they will leave or remain in power at the BiH level, writes NAP.
